This Specialization is intended for aspiring 3D artists, Blender beginners, and creative professionals seeking to develop practical 3D modeling, procedural design, and character creation skills. Through three courses taught by Monica Trochez-Hayes, Ken Mbesa, and Jean Cavalcante, you'll learn Blender fundamentals, Geometry Nodes, and stylized character modeling while completing hands-on projects that prepare you to create polished 3D assets and confidently continue your Blender learning journey.
Applied Learning Project
Throughout this Specialization, you'll complete a series of increasingly sophisticated hands-on Blender projects that reinforce the concepts introduced in each course. You'll begin by modeling and rendering a detailed toy train to master Blender's interface, navigation, modeling tools, materials, lighting, cameras, and rendering workflow. Next, you'll build procedural Geometry Nodes systems using the unique Spaceship Docking System framework, learning how to create scalable node-based assemblies using points, instances, transforms, and attributes. Finally, you'll apply your modeling skills to create a complete stylized 3D cat character, designing expressive facial features, assigning materials, setting up lighting, and producing a polished final render. By completing these authentic projects, you'll develop a strong foundation in Blender while building a portfolio of work that demonstrates core 3D modeling, procedural design, and character creation skills.
